Lesson Start: A Relaxed Warm-Up
Every lesson begins with a casual conversation. You can tell me about your weekend, your plans, or simply how your day has been. This helps you get into the German-speaking mindset and overcome speaking barriers.
Course Material and Questions
After the warm-up, we move on to the lesson content: we continue with the course book, discuss your questions, and practice the current topic. The book serves as a guide, not a limitation – I often supplement it with my own materials.
Grammar Made Easy
Many learners are intimidated by grammar, yet it is essential. When you understand exactly what we use and why, it becomes much easier to understand sentence structures and other people’s speech. I explain grammar in a simple and logical way, paying special attention to exceptions – because German certainly has plenty of them.
Listening and Reading Comprehension
Understanding spoken and written texts is an important part of the lessons. Instead of relying solely on textbook examples, I often bring current articles, podcasts, and videos that match your interests. The exercises become gradually more challenging, so you can clearly see your progress.
Written Homework
I’m happy to assign written homework because it gives you more time to think about what you want to say. At home, mistakes often become visible that you may not even notice during the lesson – and then we can work on correcting them together.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free trial lesson available?
I offer a short introductory conversation (15–20 minutes) where we discuss your goals, check the technical setup, and see whether we can work well together.
IMPORTANT: If someone does not attend the trial lesson and does not inform me in advance, they lose the opportunity for another free trial. If they still wish to take lessons, it will only be possible after paying for a full lesson.
Where do the lessons take place?
Lessons are primarily held online via Google Meet, allowing you to join comfortably from anywhere. This also enables flexible scheduling and the instant sharing of digital learning materials.
I can also receive students in person in Graz-Mariatrost. I am not able to travel to students' homes.
How can I pay?
Payment is made by bank transfer. For private lessons, you can pay per session or purchase lesson packages in advance. For pair and group lessons, payment is usually settled monthly or in blocks of lessons.
In case of advance payment, I am not able to refund unused lessons. Purchased lesson packages are valid for six months.
What happens if I need to cancel a lesson?
Cancellation is free of charge if you notify me at least 24 hours before the lesson starts. For cancellations made within 24 hours, the lesson fee will be charged, as I am unlikely to fill that time slot on short notice.
Do I need to buy a textbook?
Not necessarily. We work with a variety of my own digital materials, articles, and videos. If a specific textbook is required for exam preparation, we will discuss it in advance.
